在緬甸戰場上面，雖然英軍不斷幹擾指揮，但是部隊在孫衛國指揮下，還是給日軍帶來了毀滅性打擊。
一直到1942年年底，緬甸戰場上，遠徵軍部隊是完全佔據著優勢的，到了1943年，四十七集團軍部隊開始抽調回國參戰。
隨後在孫衛國的帶領下，四十七集團軍所部先後參加了鄂西會戰，常德會戰等等作戰，一直到抗戰勝利。
